He was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Washburn, Maine. Truman is an Army veteran of Vietnam, where he flew helicopter gunships. He also piloted for 13 years with Airlift Northwest and most recently flew for Vulcan of Seattle. He belonged to the Vietnam Helicopters Pilot Assn., the QB's (Quiet Birdsmen) and HOG (Harley Owner's Group). His life was his family, flying and his motorcycle. Truman is survived by his wife, Shirley Craig of the home; sons: Christopher Craig, Chicago, IL.; Buddy (Sandi) Britton of Puyallup; Stephen (Lori) Britton of Austin, TX; sister, Luella (William) Burchfield; nieces, Debbie and Julie and his 5 grandchildren, Alex, Andrea, Zachary, Andrew and Sydney. Committal service will be Thurs., 2:30PM at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent. Memorial Service will be Fri., 11:00AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 24447 94th Ave. So., Kent. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emergency Puyallup Food Bank, P.O. Box 202, Puyallup, WA 98371. Arrangements by Powers Funeral Home, Puyallup, WA.
