More detail on this person: William Robert Cover, 74, Johnstown, died October 7, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born September 23, 1947 in Johnstown, son of the late William Rauch and Margaret (Oldham) Cover. Survived by wife of 51 years, Brenda (Corle); sons, Mark A., and Jonathan M.; and grandson, Cylas M. He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Bill served as an infantryman and pilot in the US Army, 1st Calvary Division, A Company 229th AttB. He was awarded 31 air medals, the Bronze Star, and the Presidential Unit Citation. He was a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association, and VFW Post 155. Bill was retied from the Hiram G. Andrews Center. Friends received 5-7PM Wednesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave, where funeral service will be held 11AM Thursday with Rev. Doug Burns officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery, where military rite will be accorded by Chas. Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
