More detail on this person: Bob Caples, 71, of French Village, passed away September 8, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1948, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to the late Woodrow Wilson and Hazel Maxine (Brown) Caples. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, hunting, fishing and being with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Phil and Kenny Caples; and one sister. Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia (Christeson) Caples; children, Erik Caples and wife Michele, Kelly Caples Clubbs and husband Jerry, Kristen Schobey and husband David, Kristie Gearhart and husband Mo, Gayla Peters and husband Steve, Erica McMillin and husband Chris, Phil Caples and wife Trisha; grandchildren, Melanie Gerrish and husband Caleb, Marissa, Emily and Josie Caples, Alison Barlow and husband Jacob, Drew (Erika Wampler) Berger, Lane Brown, Alissa Shoemake, Dalton Clubbs, Lexi, Landon, and Liam Schobey, Arika Garrett, Waylon Gearhart, Madison and Gavin Peters, McKenna and Grant Frierdich, Kenah and Kylah Caples; great-grandchildren, Owen Barlow and Maci Tinsley; The State Park Gang; special friend, Charlie Fenton. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:30 AM. Pastor Michael McGee will be officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, with full Military Honors. Memorials may be directed to Camp Hope or Shared Blessings.
