More detail on this person: Robbie L. Cryer passed away on May 26, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born on July 1, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas and later resided in Slidell, Louisiana. Robbie was drafted into the United States Army in April 1968 following his education and became an Attack Helicopter Pilot and Fixed Wing Pilot. He served two tours in Vietnam and two tours overseas in Germany for Military Intelligence. Master Warrant Officer CW4 Cryer retired from the Army in 1994. He then began a successful second career in Logistics as a Military Contractor/Consultant, retiring in 2013. CW4 Robbie Cryer is preceded in death by his parents J.W. and Eula Belle Cryer, his sister Judy Wellman, and his brother Jimmy Cryer. Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Julie Cryer; daughters Lorie Ford and Tamara L. Cryer-Clark and her husband Rick Clark; sons Barry Cryer and his wife Barbara and Robbie J. Cryer and his wife Shanda; one brother Don Cryer and his wife Joy; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home located in Slidell. A Funeral Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel. CW4 Robbie Cryer will be laid to rest at Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors at a later date.
