More detail on this person: Andrew J. Cujdik, Chief Warrant Officer 3, US Army (Ret.) passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was 86 years old. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Agnes Cujdik (nee Dembik). "Pops" will be dearly missed by his 7 children, Dottie Paxton (Tom), Michele Cujdik, Timothy Cujdik (Barry), Thomas Cujdik (Sherry), Andrea Roche (Scott), Kathryn Krieger (Steven), Maryellen Cole (Phillip); 10 grandchildren, Dacia (Chris), Annie (David), Kenny, Justin, Jason, Ashleigh, Matthew, Timmy, Shane, Sydnee and 2 great grandchildren, Sophia and Elizabeth. Born on June 1, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA., he was the youngest of 5 children (Mary, John, Louis and Joseph) born to immigrant parents Mary and John Cujdik. CW3 Cujdik was a 20 year veteran (1948-1969) who served in both the Korean War as an Airborne Ranger and the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot of the C47 Chinook. He earned numerous decorations during his military career to include a Purple Heart, Commendation Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Senior Aviator Wings, Parachutist Wings, and the Air Medal with 23 Oak Leaf Clusters. The family will receive friends at the family home, 201 Janet Court, Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:00pm - 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Gilchrist Hospice of Howard County, 6336 Cedar Lane, Columbia, MD 21044. A graveside funeral service with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. (date to be determined).
