More detail on this person: Alexander "Al" Curry, Jr., of Enterprise, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022. He was 95. A Masonic graveside service with Military Honors was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, Alabama, with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive flowers or donations may be made to SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 AL-134, Enterprise, Alabama. Al was born November 25, 1926 in Orange, New Jersey, to the late Alexander, Sr., and Rose Curry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Curry, and his son, Jerry Curry. Al was known as the best "Gran-grad." He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as well as serving over fifty years in the Masonic lodge. He enjoyed working on old cars, NASCAR, and aircraft. Survivors include his children, Bridget Mock (Danny) and Mike Curry (Debbie); grandchildren, Dannley Griswold (Shane), Hilary Mock (Justin Shehee), and Danncey Wood (Brad); and great-grandchildren, Laken Griswold, Letti Griswold, and Brady Wood. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Encompass Hospice and to Jackie Austin for her endless love and dedication to their "Gran-grad." Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise is in charge of arrangements.
