More detail on this person: CALLAWAY, CHARLES PATRICK passed away July 28 after a heroic battle with cancer. He was born April 4, 1933, in Atlanta, Georgia, and is predeceased by his parents, Horace and Ann Bivins Callaway. His spirit lives on in his beloved wife, Mary Anna, of 5 1/2 years. He is also survived by his aunt, Catherine Bivins of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters by marriage, Deanna Boudreau and Lydia Valtchanov, and 3 grandchildren. Adopted daughter Susan Mendenhall. He was an accomplished pilot, rated in both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter. He served our country for 26 years in the Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He was later employed by Rockwell International in the position of Manager of International Marketing from 1978 to 1988. He took delivery, at Bell Helicopter Company, of one of the first pre-production Huey (UH-1) Helicopters in 1957, and became fond of Dallas and settled there upon retirement. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas, Dallas, Texas 75225. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
