He moved to Tampa from Virginia in 1985. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. He retired from the United States Army after serving 26 years, including 2 tours in Vietnam. He retired from FAA (Dept of Transportation) after 10 years. Julius is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Jane Christy of Tampa;son: David Alan Christy and his wife, Tanja of Tampa; daughter: Carole Ann Kingsley of Tampa; 6 grand-children: Kevin, Patrick, Rachel, David, Justin and Jennifer.There will be a service at the Funeral Home 7701 W. Hillsborough Ave. on May 8, 2012 at 10 am and will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery.
