More detail on this person: Owen L Chalfant, Jr., 77 of Panama City, passed away September 1, 2020 at his home. Owen was born December 29, 1942 in Lebanon, MO to Owen L. and Lorrean (Drennan) Chalfant, Sr. who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mindy Chalfant and a grandson, Louis Arentz. Owen is a United States Army Veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He was united marriage to his wife, Brenda who resides in Panama City. Owen is also survived by his daughters, Cindy (Ronny) Mathews and Lindy (Todd) Ingram both of Panama City; his grandchildren, Lindsey Mathews of Panama City and Ryan (Nichole) Mathews of Panama City Beach and a great grandson, Troy Arentz of Panama City Beach. A memorial service will take place 11 am Friday at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will take place privately at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
