More detail on this person: Jensen Beach, Florida, LTC (Ret) Michael D. Coleman passed away 10 Dec at home after a long illness. Born Feb 12, 1945 in Marlow, Ok to Robert and Helen Coleman. He attended grade schools in Michigan and Ohio and junior high at Tomlinson and Lawton High School, graduating in 1963. He played first base on the 62 State Championship team. Mike attended Cameron on a baseball scholarship receiving his Associate Degree in 1965 then on to Oklahoma State University graduating in 1968 with a BA in History and his ROTC Army commission. His military career started with the 3/17th Cav as a platoon leader of light observation helicopters in Vietnam he also had aviation command positions for both rotary and fixed wing aircraft in Korea, Panama and San Antonio, Texas. He retired as Deputy Post Commander at Yuma Proving Grounds, Arizona in 1994. Mike served as CEO of the Excel Corporation, retiring from the position in 2005. He moved to Jensen Beach Florida for the sun, surf and fishing which he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home, daughter Lindsay Utterback of Austin, TX, step-son Shawn A Coe and brother and sister-in-law Bob and Lee Coleman of Lawton, OK.
