Culp, 64, of Osgood, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at King's Daughters' Hospital. He was born March 25, 1940, in Kentucky, the son of the Rev. Ona H. and Maude Mae McAllister Culp. He was a former employee of Osgood Water Works. He was a member of the Osgood First Baptist Church and the Osgood American Legion Post 267. He was also employed by the U.S. Army in aviation for 18 years, and was part of the 101st Airborne division of Fort Campbell, Ky. Surviving are his wife, Betty Palmer Culp; five daughters, Kim Malone of Seymour, Amy Lindley of Oregon City, Ore., Sandy Hollowell and Brenda Simmers, both of Osgood, and Vania LaFlamme of Ridgeland, S.C.; one son, Kevin Culp of Seymour; two sisters, Gerri Cordry of Bloomington and Jewell Mack of Osgood; four brothers, Bill Culp of Madison, Charles Culp and Don Culp, both of Seymour, and Dennis Culp of Osgood; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy Pindell and Ernestine Beineke; and one brother, Glen Culp. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood, with burial in the Greendale Cemetery, Osgood. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Responders, in care of the funeral home.
