More detail on this person: ROGER SCOTT COLLINS, Lt. Col. Retired March 19, 1947-October 22, 2000 Died at home October 22, 2000. Roger moved to Santa Fe in 1979 and served with the Senior Army Advisor Group NM National Guard until 1983. After a three year assignment in Kuwait and on the Pentagon Staff, Washington D.C he retired to Santa Fe. In Santa Fe he served as a Financial Manager at Merrill Lynch and later as a Contract Courier. He held a BS and MBA. During his 20 year military career he received numerous decorations and medals. He served two tours in Vietnam with the Army Air Defense and was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal with IV Device 48th Award, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign and Gallantry Cross with Palm Medals. He is survived by his father, Russell C. Collins of Altona, FL; mother, Joyce Rogers Liddon of Santa Fe, NM; brother, Michael Collins of Brandon, MS; sister, Rebecca R. Collins of Crestview, FL; son, Patrick Collins, currently with the 82nd Airborne Divs. Army, Fort Bragg, NC; one niece; and three nephews. Funeral services with full Military Honors will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
