More detail on this person: Lorenza A. Cook HOPE MILLS - Retired Army Maj. Lorenza "Tony" A. Cook, 64, son of Elsie and Lorenza Cook of Winchester, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, in his home. Tony was a decorated Army veteran having served two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. During his 20 years of service, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with V device, the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal, as well as numerous service ribbons. He will be missed by all who served with him, as well as by his family. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills. He is survived by his wife, Hyo Son Kim "Sue" Cook; son, William R. Cook; daughter, Georgia Mae Riviero; grandson, Dillon; granddaughter, Megan; and stepbrother, Thomas McKinney.
