Loving father of Vincent (Julia) Coutoumanos and Steve (late Terri) Coutoumanos, dearest step-father of Maria (Michael) Lessnau, and Nicole (Matthew) Chubb. Dear brother of Thalia (Paul) Wilcox. Dearest grandfather of Joseph H. Coutoumanos, Megan Coutoumanos, Mary E. Coutoumanos, Lauren Coutoumanos, George J. Coutoumanos, Jordan Lessnau, Adam Chubb, Alexander Chubb, Aidan Lessnau. George was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Sophie Coutoumanos. He was a retired Lt. Colonel for the U.S. Army where he was a highly decorated combat veteran serving in both Korea and Vietnam. George will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5- 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100. In state Friday 10:00 a.m. with a 11:00 a.m. funeral service to follow at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox, 36375 Joy Road, Westland. Interment Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
