A funeral service will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, in Adcock Funeral Home chapel in Spring Lake. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. The family will recieve friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by: His wife, Marion Cox; and two daughters, Kathy Coffee and Brenda Faye Cox. Survived by: Stepsons, Gary T. Smith of Raleigh and Neal Smith of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Joyce Johnson of Mount Olive, Carol Bartee of Centerville, Ga., and Faye Smith of Goldsboro; brothers, John Cox of Pikeville and Gerald Cox of Aumsville, Ore.; and grandchildren, Billy Coffee, Nelson Smith and Skylar Smith.
