More detail on this person: CRISPIN, Gerald "Jerry" (Age 61) Born December 10, 1946 in San Diego, CA to Max and Mabel Crispin; passed away in Spokane Valley, WA on July 4, 2008. A Graduate of California State University Chico and helicopter pilot with the US Army, Jerry served three tours in Vietnam, as well as serving with the National Guard. In 1974, Jerry and Linda Drager eloped in Las Vegas, NV. Formerly with San Diego Fire Dept., Jerry worked for the US Postal Service for 31 years. A Spokane area resident for the last 23 years, he attended Valley Assembly of God with his family. Jerry loved flying, taking road trips and keeping each of his family's cars tuned, fueled and washed. He loved to read, especially political thrillers, and listen to Motown music. Camera always close at hand; he also enjoyed yard work, camping, using his "ridiculously heavy" canoe and playing with any dog which came his way. Preceded in death by his father: Max, Jerry is survived his beloved Wife: Linda Crispin of Spokane Valley; Son: Talbot Crispin (US Navy) of Port Hueneme, CA; Daughters: Patricia (Sean) Johnson (US Army) of Katterbach, Germany and Sunset Crispin (US Air Force Veteran) of Spokane, WA; Mother: Mabel Crispin of Borrego Springs, CA and Sisters: Kathy Giberti, Patty (Jim) Vasquez and Sally (Woody) Stewart all of Kingman, AZ, Carol (Henry) Barling of Borrego Springs, CA and Diana Crispin of AZ. A Celebration of Jerry's life will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 11, 2008, in the Chapel at Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jerry's name to Vietnam Veterans Assistance Fund, 8605 Cameron St., Suite 400, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
