More detail on this person: Ronald C. Crowl LTC Ronald C. Crowl, USA (ret.) passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007. He was born on November 22, 1935. He served as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army and retired after 29 years. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal (4th Oak Leaf Cluster) Air Medal with V Device (12th Award), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation and numerous other awards. He obtained his BS degree from Kent State University in Ohio and his MS from the University of Hawaii. He married the former Norma Santullo on July 4, 1959 in Leetonia, Ohio. After retiring from military service, he taught at Losoya Intermediate School in the Southside ISD in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde & Florence Crowl. He is survived by his wife, Norma Santullo Crowl of Cibolo, TX; daughter, Marrillisa & husband, Mike Atkinson, Cibolo, TX; son, Ronald S. Crowl, Waiphau, Hawaii; brother, William Crowl & wife, Betty, Rockport, TX; sister-in-law, Marilyn Santullo, Live Oak, TX and three nephews. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to diabetes research or kidney transplant charities.
