More detail on this person: William H. Cleary, Manheim resident William H. Cleary, 69, of 2222 Kilmer Road, Manheim, died Wednesday at home of natural causes. He was a career pilot in the U.S. Army for 23 years, retiring in 1972. He then worked at Hamilton Watch in Lancaster until 1994. He completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. Cleary enjoyed flying, woodworking and traveling with his grandchildren. Born in Phoenix, Ariz., he was a son of the late Percy H. and Marie Porter Cleary. He was married to Lieselotte Lutz Cleary in 1955. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Gabriele, married to L. Allan Boyd of Manheim, and Kathleen, married to Billy James; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
