More detail on this person: Retired U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Wayne Paul Campbell, 60, died Aug. 16, 2004, at his home. Born Oct. 20, 1943, in Toledo, OH, son of the late Harry and Josephine (McCloud) Campbell, he served two tours of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, where his helicopter was shot down. He retired in 1971 from USMC and was the recipient of several medals including a Purple Heart and Strike/Flight Air Medal with Bronze Star. Survivors include two sons, Brandon Lee Campbell and Logan Wayne Campbell of Bloomfield; three daughters, Desere Clabo of Stewart, FL, Michelle Moeau of Midana, TN, and Catlynn Campbell of Bloomfield; two brothers, Bob Campbell of Bloomfield and Harry Campbell Jr. of Dayton, OH; two sisters, Linda Campbell of Michigan and Carol Ann Moore of Toledo; and several grandchildren. One son, Robert Wayne Campbell, preceded him in death. Visitation is today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside services are Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
