More detail on this person: William "Bill" Thomas Carraway William "Bill" Thomas Carraway, age 62, of Randolph, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007, at the Cleveland VA Medical Center Wade Park Campus. Born October 18, 1945, in Farmville, North Carolina, a son of William and Thelma (Eastwood) Helmick, Bill was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Carraway of Youngstown; life partner, Helen Houck of Randolph; mother, Thelma Helmick of South Hill, Va.; brothers, John (Rita) Carraway of Vinegrove, Ky., Carl Helmick of Norlina, N.C., and Sherman Helmick of Youngstown; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Carraway. Friends will be received FRIDAY from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor David Ballert on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow with military honors at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
