More detail on this person: Carmine Anthony Casciano, age 78 years, of Plymouth, died Monday, May 17. 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Nancy (Weaver) Casciano, and the son of the late Carmine and Madeline (Franco) Casciano. Born on April 4, 1943 in Brockton, MA, Carmine and Nancy raised their family in Plymouth, where they have lived for over 40 years. A decorated United States Marine, Carmine flew helicopters for extractions during the Vietnam War. He was known as "Captain Cash" and was honorably discharged in 1969 with the rank of Captain after being awarded the Purple Heart, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service medal and the Combat Action Ribbon. Holding a hanger at Plymouth Airport, Carmine enjoyed flying planes and after earning his own flying license, was able to teach his grandson and other relatives to fly. Other favorite pastimes for Carmine were riding his Harley Davidson Fat Boy, working out, working in his yard, and spending time with his wife and family. He was a graduate of Stonehill College and worked in sales and consulting in the vitamin industry. Health and fitness were his passions. Besides his loving wife Nancy, Carmine will be sadly missed by his children, Christopher Michael Casciano and his wife Newie of Little Compton, RI, Anthony Joseph Casciano and his wife Stephanie of North Reading, Dawn Marie Christensen and her husband Erik of Plymouth and Nicole Elizabeth Zutaut and her husband Jason of Rochester, and his 14 grandchildren, Erika, Anthony, Cameron, Sophia, Victoria, Bella, Noah, Alley, Angelina, Paige, Zachary, Amelia, Tony and Lexy.
