More detail on this person: JAMES S. 'SAM' CHASTAIN, 62, of Memphis, retired Marine Corps pilot and electronics lab technician at State Technical Institute at Memphis, died of cancer Wednesday at his home. Services will be at noon Monday at Broadmoor Baptist Church, where he was a member and a deacon, with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He was a Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Chastain, the husband of Ada Chastain, also leaves three sons, Rick Chastain, Ron Chastain and Steve Chastain, all of Memphis, and a sister, Zoma Givens of Walla Walla, Wash., and seven grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Broadmoor Baptist Church or to the Freeman Library at the State Technical Institute at Memphis.
