More detail on this person: John P. Collins, born March 25, 1947, Dublin Ireland, died August 21, 2021, Waikoloa, Hawaii. Among his many roles, John was a beloved father, brother, uncle, partner, grandfather, friend and decorated Vietnam Veteran. Awarded twenty-nine medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross for his Heroism and extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight. He was a generous and considerate man, he lived a full life on his terms. He was an independent businessman and in his latter years, found tranquility on the Big Island of Hawaii, doing the things he enjoyed, going to the beach, playing golf, challenging his mind, contributing to his local community and enjoying meals with good friends. He was our hero and is greatly missed.
