More detail on this person: LTC Preston Bradley "Brad" Collins Preston Bradley (Brad) Collins - He was the youngest of 6 children. He attended NC State College and enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1941 and enjoyed an illustrious career in the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot and was a decorated veteran of WWII and the Vietnam era. Military honors included the Distinguished Flying Cross Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters. He was a member of the Mach Busters Club (retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel) a member of the Military Officers Association of America and DAV (J.L. Golightly, Chapter 32). Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Marge; children, Cynda (Marcel) Arsenault of Superior, Co. and Chris (Ann) of Thousand Oaks, CA; grandchildren, John and Erin (deceased). A Memorial gathering will be held at the Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach, FL on December 1, 2010. Published in FLORIDA TODAY on November 30, 2010
