Ronald Ray Cowden, my father, held the rank of Lt. Colonel at the time of his death on 4/16/84. He was promoted from Captain to Major upon return from the 66/67 Vietnam tour shown, in which he piloted Cobra Attack Helicopters. A previous tour in Vietnam, flying Hueys (UH-1) occurred in 1964.
