Oregonian, The (Portland,Or)- July 26, 1976 CRASH KILLS OREGON PILOT Maj. Anthony D. Costa, 35, who listed his home address as Oregon City, was one of the three Marines killed Monday when a helicopter he was piloting crashed and burned on the northwest edge of Camp Pendleton, Calif. Two other crew members were injured. Marine spokesman said the CH53 Sea Knight, the corp's largest helicopter, was on "routine training exercises" when the accident occurred. The helicopter, which is used to transport troops, was on its way to pick up a contingent of soldiers. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash."
