More detail on this person: Our loving Husband, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend Gerald Israel Canfield (Jerry) peacefully passed away July 30, 2018. He was born March 13, 1930 in Ogden Utah to Kenneth Israel Canfield and Edna Margaret Stallings Canfield. He graduated from the University of Utah with a major in Political Science. He met Joyce Ludwig and they were married October 22, 1953 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They raised a family of 3 children who blessed them with 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Jerry spent over 20 years as a pilot in the US Navy. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He loved flying helicopters and was dedicated to serving his country. After his retirement from the Navy he served 15 years in Montreal with the United Nations. He is survived by his wife Joyce and children Gerald Clifton Canfield (Caryn), Kimberly Ann Secor (John, deceased), Scot Kenneth Canfield (Karen), grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as his brother Ronald Virgil Canfield and sister Kaye Hicks. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Lehi 33 Ward at 650 E 3200 N, Lehi. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 S Highland Dr, Salt Lake City.
