More detail on this person: Colonel James E Dooley 3rd of Virginia James E. Dooley III Daily Oklahoman, The (Oklahoma City, OK) - Monday, December 26, 1994 DOOLEY James E. III, Col., Ret. (US Army), on Saturday, December 17, 1994 at Hospice of Northern Virginia. Loving father of Debi Eppenstein, Jamey Romesburg, Marc Dooley and Ryan Dooley. Beloved son of James and Rudene Dooley and brother of Richard Dooley. Also survived by six grandchildren. Some of Col. Dooley's earned military awards include: Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, The Ai r Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and Army Achievement Medal. Col. Dooley is a graduate of the Command General Staff Officer course as well as the U.S. Army War College. He has a master of science degree from Shippenburg University of Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 22, 1994 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Bible Church. Interment with full military honors was held on Friday, December 23, 1994 at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the James E. Dooley III Fund at Immanuel Bible Church, 5211 Backlick Rd., Springfield, Va. 22151.
