More detail on this person: An honored and proud U.S Army Veteran who retired after 20 years, served three tours in Vietnam in 1967, 1968 and 1970 flying helicopters was awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal and Soldiers Medal. He was also a longstanding and involved member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot Association and Fort Worth Pilots Association. After serving in the military he went to work for Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth, served in management for Bell Helicopter Europe, Amsterdam, Holland and retired after 20+ years. Robert is predeceased by wives Sallie Rhoads Davis and Barbara Jean Davis. Survived by daughter Carol Davis in Fort Worth, TX., sons Grant Davis and wife Mary Margaret in Fort Worth, TX., Gordon Davis and wife Charlotte in Seattle, WA. He also leaves behind one step-grandchild Erik Merrill, Brentwood, CA. and sister Sylvia Davis Dawson and husband Bill in West Palm Beach, FL., cousins Billie Jean Roble in Charleston, SC., cousin Joan Butler Tiller and husband Sam from St. John's, Newfoundland and cousin John Butler and wife from South River, Newfoundland. Graveside services with Military Honors are to be held Thursday, June 8th at 12:30pm at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local SPCA organization in loving memory of Bob Davis who always loved his pets!
