More detail on this person: Ronald James Dennison, 73, of Fort Myers, Florida has left this world on Thursday, August 20, 2020. He was born March 22, 1947 in Providence, RI to the late Albert and Pearl (Collins) Dennison, Jr. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Roy and Aunt Beatrice (Stu). Ron graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelors Degree in Aero-Space Management. Ron served a distinguished career in the US Military. He served as a US Army Pilot in Vietnam from 1971- 1972. His Vietnam service included 3 Vietnam Service Medals and 1 Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his tour in Vietnam, the many accolades he received for his service include: 2 Bronze Stars, 2 Meritorious Service Medals, 5 Air Medals, 2 Army Accommodation Medals, 2 Army Achievement Medals, 2 Army Good Conduct Medals, 2 National Defense Medals, 2 Armed Forces Reserve Medals, and 1 Multi-National Force and Observer Service Medal. He retired after 26 years of Federal Civilian Service on 31 July 2018. Ron was a loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and devoted friend. He is survived by his wife Pamela S. Dennison, sister Sandra (Warren), daughters Laura (Tim), Robyn (Lance), Kristin (Jake). Grandchildren Jessica (Robert), Dalton, Alexis, Tyler, Chase, Evan, Faith, Cade, Dane, and Kaylin. Great grandchildren Hudson and Harvey. Nephews Greg (Miki) and Jeff (Jacy). Uncle Gene (101), Nephews Joseph (Lisa) and Butch (Merry). His beloved puppies Scout and Indy. His family requests your prayers and condolences for his wonderful life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wounded Warriors, the American Legion, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region or Life Line Puppy Rescue in Brighton, CO. Memorial and Honors Ceremony are scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery.
