More detail on this person: William C. Dalrymple SANFORD -- Retired Army Lt. Col. William C. ''Bill'' Dalrymple, 72, of 742 Dalrymple Farm Road, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, in Central Carolina Hospital. Mr. Dalrymple was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a helicopter pilot and commanded the 174th Assault Helicopter Co. in Vietnam from 1966-67. Mr. Dalrymple was also a farmer and was the president of the board of directors of Central Electric Membership Corp. from 1988 to 2001. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Salem Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Tommy O'Leary. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Dalrymple is survived by his wife, Alicia O. Dalrymple of the home; a son, Billy Dalrymple of Cary; three daughters, Lisa Dalrymple and Sharon Dalrymple, both of Sanford, and Laura Dalrymple of Angier; a brother, Robert Dalrymple of Sanford; a sister, Mary Howard of Portsmouth, Va.; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford.
