More detail on this person: Gerald Davis Gerald W. "Gerry" Davis, 82, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Rohr Nursing Home, Bartow of cancer. Born June 22, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. Davis had been a resident of Bartow since 1985, moving from Tampa. Mr. Davis was a retired chief warrant officer with the U.S. Army with 23 years of service in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Bartow First United Methodist Church; the Bartow Lions Club; American Legion Post No. 3; and the Military Officers Association of America. He was a member of the Masonic Order; Scottish Rite & Egypt Temple Shrine. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Meromay B. Davis of Bartow; two daughters, Toni R. Vaillancourt and husband Michel of Tampa, Paige Arnold and husband Rainer of Hiawassee, Ga.; brother: Daniel Davis and wife Sydney of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Jean Atteridge of Bremerton, Wash. Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 310 S. Broadway Ave, Bartow. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 455 S. Broadway, Bartow, FL, 33830.
