More detail on this person: WILLIAMSBURG - Lieutenant Colonel William James Dimon, U.S. Army, retired, 84, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 14, 2015 in Williamsburg, Va. He was born in Hatboro, Pa., on March 6, 1931 to Edward Bingham and Blanche Virginia Dimon. He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Elizabeth Connell (Timothy), Sharron Elizabeth Dimon (Michael), and Suzanne Elizabeth Fairbank (David); and two granddaughters, Emily Elizabeth Imhof (David) and Jennifer Elizabeth Connell. He is predeceased by his ex-wife, Helen Elizabeth Dimon, with whom he proudly served his country for 32 years in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps. A protestant memorial service will be held in his honor at 2 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Fort Eustis Regimental Chapel, with interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Transportation Museum Fund at Drawer D, Fort Eustis, VA 23604. We are grateful to the volunteers and staff at the Williamsburg Hospice House for the tender care he received during his last days. Our "Grampop" will be greatly missed by his family.
