More detail on this person: He died suddenly. He arrived at work Monday morning, 13 August 1973, set his coffee cup on his desk, reached for the phone to call his dear friend to compare golf scores from the weekend, and just keeled over. The hospital was close (across the street) but there was nothing anyone could do. He had had a massive heart attack. At least he didn't suffer.

He served multiple tours in Vietnam (and Korea). His last tour to Vietnam was late 1968/early 1969 to mid/late 1970 and he was with the 25th Infantry Division. He was a battalion commander.
