More detail on this person: CWO2 (Ret.) Fred L. Durdin, Jr. passed away quietly on 05/18/2009 at the age of 72. He was a Decorated Vietnam Veteran having served two tours of duty. Among his many military decorations, CWO2 Durdin was awarded two Bronze Star Medals, an Army Distinguished Service Medal, and two Air Medals. CWO2 Durdin began his military career as an Airman in the US Air Force raising to the rank of Staff Sergeant before going Army and attending Warrant Officer Candidate School and proceeding to the flight training program at Fort Rucker. CWO2 retired from the Army as a staff flight instructor at Fort Rucker flight school.
