More detail on this person: Bob passed away Easter Sunday, April 4th, 2021. He was born May 7th, 1945 in Jamestown, NY. Bob was a Captain in the US Army, in the late 60's and early 70's, where he learned to fly Helicopters and served in Vietnam. He was a pilot for over 50 years, and a flight instructor at Ft Rucker for most of those, flying was his passion. Bob was fortunate enough to enjoy what he loved until his end. Bob passed away Easter Sunday, April 4th, 2021. He was born May 7th, 1945 in Jamestown, New York. Bob was a Captain in the US Army, in the late 60's and early 70's, where he learned to fly Helicopters and served in Vietnam. He was a pilot for over 50 years, and a flight instructor at Ft Rucker for most of those, flying was his passion. Bob was fortunate enough to enjoy what he loved until his end. He was a pillar in the local flying community and will be missed by his partner Sheila Hawkins Williams, fellow pilots, associates, and numerous students. He is survived by his brother Kelly Daugherty and wife Mary Ellen; daughter Carol Keenan and husband Jim; daughter Kristin Baggett and husband Stephen; son Michael and daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren: Jordan, Chelsea, James, Catherine, Joshua, Jillian, and Preston, great grandchildren: Isaiah, Jaydyn, Kaylee, Leigha, Alauna. No services will be held at this time.
