More detail on this person: Clarence A. "Klink" Davis Clarence A. "Klink" Davis, COL US Army Retired, died Friday October 14, 2005 at his home at Canyon Lake, Texas. He was born January 25, 1927 at St. Paul, Minnesota to Clarence A. and Anne (Broose) Davis. He married Georgia Dusk November 15, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church at Canyon Lake. During Klink Davis' distinguished military career he attended flight school at San Marcos, Texas and Fort Rucker, Alabama. His later assignments included command of a helicopter platoon in Munich, Germany, commanding officer of the Alaskan Aviation Battalion, and Army General's staff at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. His final assignment was transportation advisor to the 5th Army at Fort Sam Houston. Following retirement from the military he spent two years in an advisory position in Tehran, Iran. After returning to the United States he worked for 10 years at General Portland Cement in New Braunfels. Survivors include his wife, Georgia D. Davis of Canyon Lake, Texas; 5 children, Mark Richard Davis and wife Nancy of Van, Texas, Lisa Davis Sievers and husband Larry of San Antonio, Texas, Laura Davis Nowicki and husband Jim of Houston, Texas, Beth Davis Zarate and husband Mark of Houston, Texas and Karen Davis Rider and husband Bill of Bulverde, Texas; 1 sister, Elaine Hall of Racine, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday October 17, 2005 and continue until the Rosary begins at 7:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Catholic Church at Canyon Lake at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday October 18, 2005. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Memorial donations may be given to, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Intrepid Square, West 46th and 12th Avenue, New York, New York 10036.
