More detail on this person: Bruce Dixon March 12, 1944 - Feb. 4, 2005 Bruce Talmadge Dixon of Harvest passed away Friday at his home. He was 60. Mr. Dixon was a native of Seattle, was raised in Chesapeake, Va., and was a resident of Madison County for the past eight years. He was retired from the U.S. Army with 30 years of service. He served three tours of duty in the Vietnam War and obtaining the rank of chief warrant officer 4. Survivors include his wife, Miranda Lee Dixon of Harvest; two sons, Travis Scott Dixon of Georgetown, Texas, and Mark Talmadge of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Carol Jane Lowell of Smithfield, Va.; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville with the Rev. William "Monty" Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Foundation.
