More detail on this person: Peter B. Dulcamara Funeral Mass for the Rev. Mr. Peter B. Dulcamara, deacon, Roman Catholic Church, 68, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Kirk Larkin, pastor, and other clergy of the Archdiocese, officiating. A rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. and a vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. The Rev. Mr. Dulcamara died Monday, April 6, 2009, at his home surrounded by his wife and children after a long battle with cancer. Burial with military honors will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under direction of Becker Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 14, 1940, in Detroit, to Peter and Mildred Dulcamara. He married Carol Jean Nowicki on Aug. 23, 1958, in Detroit. He retired as a major after having served for 21 years with distinction in the Army, including a tour of duty as a decorated helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Later in his life, he was called by God to the ministry of the Diaconate in the Catholic Church. He was ordained a permanent deacon by the Most Rev. Eusebius J. Beltran on Nov. 6, 1998. His ministry included visiting the sick and terminally ill in nursing homes, at home and in the hospital, and delivering meals on wheels. Survivors include his wife; three children and their spouses: Pam and Kent Mindemann, Apache; Peter B. and Gina Dulcamara, Neenah, Wis.; and Paolo and Luz Elena Dulcamara, Lawton; six grandchildren: Justin Hall and Wyatt Mindemann, Rachel and Peter J. Dulcamara, and Carlos and Sofia Dulcamara; two great grandchildren: Tanner Mindemann and Mialee Hall; a brother, Jerry Dulcamara, St. Clair Shores, Mich.; and a sister, Kay Fulgenzi, Grosse Point, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Mindemann. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, P.O.
