More detail on this person: Marcellus Cosby "Marc" Dozier, Jr., 76, passed away at his home Thursday September 17, 2009. He was born June 24, 1933 in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas to Major Marcellus C. "Tex" Dozier, Sr., and Roma L. Moore Dozier. He married Shirley Jeanne Dragion on June 11, 1963 in Midland City, Alabama. Marc was a retired and well decorated U.S. Army helicopter pilot and had serve in three campaigns in Korea and five campaigns in Vietnam, he had been stationed at several Army bases throughout the United States before finally retiring honorably from duty in Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Shirley Dozier of Gonzales, daughters and son-in-law, Dawn Renee Deppe and Richard of Washington, MO., Michelle Lee Kimsey and Edward of Vail, AZ., step-daughter Lisa Sue Speed and her husband Tom of Liverpool, England, step-sons, Gerald Bruce "Butch" Long of Tallahassee, FL., Walter Anthony "Sonny" Long of Victoria, Jimmy Long of Adel, GA., 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step- daughters, Beth Stewart and Cathy Stuck and a brother, Michael Dozier. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday September 21, 2009 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Revs. Lundy Hooten and Paul Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Gonzales Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Royce Towns, Jr., Lee Lemay, Jim Glidden, Bobby Scheske, Elgin Heinemeyer, Michael Finch, and Glenn Collins. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. David Wolf, Paul Allen, Gaston Thurman, and Royce Towns, Sr. Memorials may be made to the City of Gonzales Animal Shelter P.O. Box 547, Gonzales, TX. 78629, the Belmont United Methodist Church, or the Belmont Community Center. Funeral services were under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, 906 St. Paul FREDRICK R. DUNHAM Fredrick R. Dunham, 70, retired major, U.S. Army, of Disputanta, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. Born in Neuburg, Germany, he was the son of the late Karl and Irma Reinhardt, and stepfather, Robert C. Dunham. Fredrick was a proud veteran, having served his country for more than 20 years. He is survived by his son, Robert "Bobby" Dunham; two brothers, Robert Dunham and George Reinhardt Dunham; sister, Ann Reinhardt Dunham; and special friends, Ernie Gruber and Linda Flock. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
