More detail on this person: DAVIS, Lt. Col., Jr., Jonah Lt. Col. Jonah B. Davis, Jr., US Army, Ret., age 89 of Marietta, died September 5, 2021. Lt. Col. Davis served as an aviator in the Army and retired after 27 years of service. After his retirement, he worked in the insurance industry for several years. He earned his undergraduate degree from North Georgia College and a Master's degree from Michigan State University. He was an active member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church for over 40 years and was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. JB was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judy Davis; daughters, Suzanne Carswell (Scott), Stephanie Davis, Stacy Howlin (Kurt), Cindy Woodward; son, Paul Stewart (Kelly); grandchildren, Celeste Carswell, Courtney Carswell, Abby Woodward, Katie Woodward and Draven Sonnon. His son-in-law, Norman "Woody" Woodward preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 10, 2021 beginning at 10 AM with funeral services at 11 AM at H.M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
