More detail on this person: Thomas P. DeWeese II Ret. Lt. Col. Thomas Peter DeWeese II, 56, Route 2, of Nauvoo, died Thursday at the University Hospital in Birmingham. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Colbert Hill Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Willard Hulbert and Rev. Ford King officiating. Burial will be at the Old Prospect Cemetery with Kilgore Green Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. DeWeese was a former ROTC instructor at Sparkman High School and was the senior ROTC instructor at Walker High School in Jasper. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Colbert Hill Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Sibley; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Neal Fling of Ditburg, West Germany; two sons, Thomas P. DeWeese Jr. of Austin, Texas and Lt. Joseph Carl DeWeese of Fort Hood, Texas; a brother, James Carl DeWeese Jr. of Washington, Ga; two sisters, Mrs. Derline Smith of Bristol, Tenn. and Mrs. Sally Seymour of Decatur; and three grandchildren.
