More detail on this person: West Nyack, NY - Robert A. DiPadova (Bob), entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Veterans Hospital, Bronx, NY. Bob was born in Yonkers, NY on November 24, 1940. He graduated from Gorton High School and Manhattan College earning a degree in Civil Engineering. In 1967 Bob married the love of his life, Viga. He joined the Army and served from 1966 to 1977 as an Aviator. His primary role was flying helicopters. He served two combat tours in Vietnam earning the bronze star for bravery under fire. Bob spent the next half of his life battling the health effects of agent orange exposure from Vietnam. Bob will always be remembered for his love of country, duty in the service and devotion of his family. He was a loving father and husband and will be missed. Bob is survived by his wife, Viga two sons, Robert Jr. and his wife, Kim, Anthony and his wife, Sandy, two beautiful grandchildren, Caitlyn and Nicholas and his twin brother, Artie and his wife Karola. He was predeceased by his sister, Lucille. Visiting hours will be Friday, February 16 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc., 728 West Nyack Rd., West Nyack, NY (845) 358-4433 www.sorcefuneralhome.com where funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 10:00am.
