More detail on this person: Grover Cleveland Doster Jr. Grover Cleveland Doster Jr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015. Born Feb. 5, 1922, in Monroe, he served his country faithfully for over 32 years as a marine officer/aviator. A veteran of three wars (World War II, Korea and Vietnam), he flew Marine One, carrying presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy. Col. Doster was a true hero. He is survived by his loving wife, Eloise. Their marriage of 72 years served as an inspiration to many. He is also survived by his daughter, Norma Lopatin (husband Andy), and son, David Doster (wife Debbie). He is predeceased by his son, Cleve Doster, who died while serving as a Marine Aviator. Col. Doster has four grandchildren, Matthew and Patrick Moran (Maryland), Lauren Doster (Virginia) and Phillip Doster (of Port Orange), and four great-grandchildren (Gwyn, Alexa, Oakley and Emma). Memorial services were Saturday, Feb. 7, at the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1952, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1952.
