More detail on this person: Driefer, John L. May 21, 1932 - Dec. 14, 2008 Lt Col. USMC, Ret. John L. Driefer, Cape Coral, formerly of Longboat Key and Siesta Key, died Dec. 14, 2008. There will be no visitation. The family will spread ashes at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Jan; and daughters Leigh Tomlin and Christa Whitaker, of Cape Coral. John passed away at Hope Hospice House, Fort Myers, after a lengthy illness. The family suggest any memorial contributions be made to Hope Hospice House. Semper Fi, John.
