More detail on this person: Richard T. Driskill, we always called him Terry. Terry and I both lived in Laguna Beach form 1970-1972, only living a few blocks from each other. Terry, Gene and Annie Tolls and I spent evenings together, walking the high streets of Laguna Beach, sharing dinner at Gene's, and eating at the Coach Light Restaurant, dessert from the local ice cream store. Terry and I were planning on going to Spain together after separation from the Marine Corps, but I met and married Maureen. Terry did travel to Spain and met Hwei (Rose) at the University of Madrid. They married, and Terry and Hwei live in Taiwan for a few years, the number of which I'm unaware. They then returned to the U.S. where they both were teachers at the Thacher School, a well known prep school in Ojai. After a few years, they left Thacher due to what they felt was racial discrimination, Hwei being Taiwanese. They traveled to Japan, where they both taught English. At some point, Terry bought a small cottage in Scotland, markedly primitive according to Terry. I believe they had two children, and at some point decided it would be best to return to the States to allow them to attend college, Terry planning to retire. I believe they bought a farm in Pennsylvania. I was in contact with Terry by email, and he sent me stories he had written, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It came as a shock when I was informed, I believe by Hwei, that Terry had malignant brain cancer, probably a glioblastoma. He could not converse at this point and died three weeks later. I am still sad at his passing. This history is to the best of my recollection, and the chronology may not be accuarte. I hope this helps. Hal Walker
