DAVEY Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) - Monday, October 7, 1996 A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996, in Lincoln Memorial Park Funeral Home for James E. Davey, chief pilot for Columbia Helicopters Inc. He died Oct. 4 in a helicopter crash at age 49. Mr. Davey was born March 16, 1947, in Salem. He graduated from high school in Larkspur, Calif., and attended College of Marin and the University of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He lived in the Portland area for 30 years and worked for the helicopter firm for 25 years. In 1970, he married Jane Berry. Surviving are his wife; sons, Richard and Michael, both of Boring; brother, William of Colton; and parents, Russell and Margaret of Gresham. Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity or American Cancer Society, Oregon division.
