More detail on this person: DISHER - Steve A. Disher, 56, died Friday, June 11, 1999 in a local hospital. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM, Sunday (Today) at the George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South. Private family services will be held at a later date. Mr. Disher was born on October 7, 1942 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He retired Major in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his wife Kay Lynn Disher; two daughters, Nicole Hart Disher and Monica Mason Disher, and their mother, Carolyn Disher; his son, Christopher Sean Disher; several aunts and uncles including, Fred and Gwen Disher of Jacksonville. Memorials may be made to charity of choice in his memory.
