More detail on this person: Robert V. Bob Dunne Sherrills Ford NC United States SHERRILLS FORD -- Robert V. "Bob" Dunne, 73, of Glennwood St., died Monday, December 16, 2002, at his residence. Born on March 17, 1929, in New York City, NY, he was a son of the late James A. and Cecilia McArdle Dunne. Mr. Dunne was a retired Lt. Colonel of the US Army having 20 years of service. He served as a pilot in Vietnam and also served in the Korean Conflict. After retiring from the military, he was employed as an insurance sales manager. Mr. Dunne was preceded in death by a brother, James Dunne, of West Nyack, NY. He is survived by wife, Geraldine K. "Jerry" Dunne; children, Anne LeMay and husband, LTC. Scott, of Montgomery, AL, Kelley Dunne and wife, Tara, of Leesburg, VA, Colleen Dunne and Thomas Dunne, both of Princeton, NJ; brother, Brother Joseph Dunne, CSC, of Washington, DC; sister, Rita Dunne, of LaBelle, FL; grandchildren, Harrison Dunne-Polite, Patrick, Mora and Kathleen LeMay, and Delaney, Kylie and Hailey Dunne; five sisters-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2002, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville, with Rev. James F. McAndrews officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church Building Fund, 217 Brawley School Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117.
