More detail on this person: LTC Orlow Buell Donaldson III , U.S. Army retired, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 9, 2016. OB was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

OB was preceded in death by his parents, Orlow and Mary Donaldson Jr, sister Sally Poletes, and grandson David Anthony Finch.

LTC Donaldson flew fixed wing air craft and helicopters while serving two tours in Vietnam and retired after twenty years of service.

OB is survived by his loving wife, Nyla, of 59 years, their children, Annie Donaldson Landers (Darrell), Mary Elaine Powell (Chip), Laura Lee Meadows (Clyde), and SFC Samuel Hagan Donaldson Sr. (Nancy). He is survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
